Month of the Military Child at Anderson

Help us in celebrating the Month of the Military Child through videos shared by notable members of our community. We are honored they took time to celebrate our students!

April is Month of the Military Child. Since first being established by Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger in 1986, April has been designated the Month of the Military Child. The purpose of this special observance is to honor the sacrifices made worldwide by military families, with a focus on their children. Military bases, cities and school districts around the world will honor these young American heroes with special events just for them.

School year 2023-2024 we had Airman come read to classes during MOTMC, as well as had vehicles come for kids to go through and see. This year we had Airman volunteer at our Walk-a-thon and will continue the read aloud in the classrooms as well as vehicles. Out Teachers will also "Purple Up".
